LWVN Annual Meeting on June 14th, 6 pm

Please join LWVN members at the LWVN Annual Meeting on June 14th at The Social in Newton Corner, starting at 6 pm with some social time.  Mayor Ruthanne Fuller will speak at 6:30 pm, followed by dinner and annual meeting business, including voting in next year’s Board.

Tickets will be $25 per person (with a cash bar). Online payment and RSVP information will be available shortly–look for this information in coming emails.

The Social restaurant, where the former Applebee’s was, is accessible and has parking available.

1 Seat Left at LWVN Table! Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast: Wednesday, May 23rd, 7:30 am

Let us know right away if you want to join us at the LWVN table!  We have 1 seat left for the 44th Annual Theodore D. Mann Newton Mayor’s Community Prayer Breakfast.  The event is held at Boston College, McElroy Commons.  Doors open at 7 am, program starts at 7:30 am.

Dr. Amey Victoria Adkins-Jones will be the featured speaker.  Dr. Adkins-Jones is Assistant Professor of Theology and Core Faculty at Boston College.  A licensed Baptist Minister, Dr. Adkins-Jones brings pastoral sensibility to her work and teaching around issues of identity and justice.

Please respond to info@lwvnewton.org with your reservation.  We ask that members help us pay for the table by bringing $20.  (Individual seats are $25 each).
