Newton Housing Strategy Open House (from City Hall)

(A notice from City Hall) Please join the Planning & Development Department and Mayor Warren on Sunday June 14th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Newton North High School Cafeteria for the Housing Strategy Open House, the initial kick-off public meeting to a 9-month process, to share your views on housing needs and opportunities for our city now and into the future. This is a drop-in event and will feature one-on-one conversations around all aspects of housing as we collect community input on this critical topic. Your thoughts and ideas will be instrumental in shaping a housing strategy that deals with current and future needs. Contact Elizabeth Valenta at 617.796.1145 or evalenta@newtonma.gov.

Your signature can make the difference!

Hurry, hurry, hurry to the LWVN table at Newton Highlands Village Day on Sunday! By our calculation, we need fewer than 400 signatures to get the question of a charter commission on the November ballot. If you haven’t yet signed, we need your signature to start Newton on the path to the most efficient and effective government it can have.

If you have signed and are willing to ask your family, friends and neighbors for their signatures, email us at charter@lwvnewton.org. Check out lwvnewton.org for more info on charter commissions.
