LWVN, in partnership with NewTV, held nine candidate forums for those candidates in contested races running for Mayor, City Council and School Committee.

*The Ward 1 School Committee forum was recorded on Tuesday, September 2nd, prior to candidate Christie Gibson’s withdrawal from the Ward 1 School Committee race. Although Christie Gibson has withdrawn, her name will remain on the November ballot. Accordingly, NewTV and the League of Women Voters are releasing this forum to provide voters with information regarding candidate Arrianna Proia’s positions. This forum has not been edited for content. The decision to air this forum does not serve as an endorsement by LWV-Newton or NewTV for the remaining candidate”
**Due to uncontrollable circumstances, a scheduled in-person forum for the Ward 2 School Committee race was unable to be held. To ensure that voters are able, through comparison and contrast, to make their own informed and educated decision about this race before going to the polls, it was rescheduled as a virtual forum.
