On June 5, 2025, members gathered at the Scandinavian Cultural Center for our Annual Meeting. We enjoyed some socializing time with members both old and new, as well as some non-members looking to learn more about our organization, followed by our business meeting.
Some highlights of what we accomplished during the business portion of the meeting include:
- Amendments to our bylaws (mostly reflecting the change to our membership process) were approved
- Modifications to the education section of our Local Positions were approved
- The 2025-2026 Program was approved
- A budget for the new Fiscal Year was approved (see pages 28 and 29 of the 2025 Annual Meeting Workbook)
- Meryl Kessler was awarded this year’s Jane Leighton Award
- Nehir Topaloglu from Newton North High School was awarded our High School Scholarship
- A new slate of officers and directors was approved. We welcomed the following new Board members: Dan Gaynor, Alex Jablon and Carolina Ventura
