One of the main missions of the League of Women Voters is to “build citizen participation in the democratic process.” Since there have been many changes to the voting process in Massachusetts due to the pandemic, the LWVN thought it important for us to have a conversation with David Olson, Newton’s City Clerk, in order to help Newton voters to better understand what to do when in order to ensure that their vote counts!
Our interview covered the following topics:
- Mail-in Voting
- Early Voting
- In-person voting on November 3rd
- Counting of ballots
- Safety & Security for voters and pollworkers
Please be confident that the voting process in Newton is safe & secure!
