Wednesday, June 19, 7:30 pm: In this talk, Seth Blumenthal of Boston University, author of Children of the Silent Majority, examines youth politics after 1968. He focuses on Richard Nixon’s young supporters who were long overshadowed by their counterparts on the left and in the counterculture. Reconsidering Nixon’s relationship with the Baby Boomer generation provides a revealing comparison to youth politics and protest during Donald Trump’s presidency and its influence on America’s political future.
