From the Newton Free Library: Few know that Massachusetts was at the center of the nation’s revolutionary struggle for woman suffrage. A battle waged over historical memory obscured the state’s role—until now. Join Barbara Berenson, author of Massachusetts in the Woman Suffrage Movement: Revolutionary Reformers, for a talk on the role of Massachusetts women in the suffrage movement. A book sale will follow. The program is cosponsored by the City of Newton Department of Senior Services and Historic Newton.
LOCATION: Druker Auditorium, Newton Free Library, 7 pm- 9 pm
