If you’re interested in running for a seat on the Charter Commission, the nomination papers are available earlier than we thought! The Elections Office at Newton City Hall has nomination papers for interested candidates, though certification will not start until August 11th. Papers are due by September 22. Candidates need 100 certified signatures, and the rule-of-thumb is to collect about 40% extra in case some cannot be verified.
