As a “thank you” to our elected officials, LWVN was to provide a light supper on Tuesday evening, January 21, shortly before Mayor Warren’s State of the City address. However, Mother Nature did not cooperate, and so the address was postponed due to a snow storm, as was the short Board of Aldermen meeting that was to follow. As a result, the supper will be available tonight, Wednesday, January 22, before Board of Aldermen committee meetings at City Hall.
Our thanks to City Clerk David Olson and his staff for their help in organizing the dinner (on both nights) and to our elected officials for their time and commitment to our community. LWVN looks forward to working with everyone in the next term to make Newton an even better place to live.
Thanks to our hardy and intrepid LWVN volunteers Jo Corro, Andrea Kozinetz, Lynn Scheller, Sharyn Roberts, Tami Roberts, and Ellen Glusman for their help in organizing the evening and for braving the weather!
