Challenges to Democracy: Protecting Voter Rights and the Influence of Money

All LWVMA members are invited to Council held at Lasell College on May 5 with keynote speaker Massachusetts Treasurer Steve Grossman. Each League is allowed two voting delegates, additional members are welcome to attend all events as observers.

Your Vote Makes a Difference!

For the month of November, the League of Women Voters of Newton has a display at the Newton Free Library about “Your Vote Makes a Difference.”  The exhibit includes interesting information about elections that hinged on one or very few votes.  We hope you visit!

Jackson Homestead and Museum Present “Newton Salutes” LWVN Exhibit

Be sure to visit the “Newton Salutes” League of Women Voters Exhibit at the Jackson Homestead – now through January 2012. In honor of LWVN’s 75th anniversary, the exhibit includes a pictorial history of LWVN going back to the 1940’s.
